Organizations
- James P. Geiss and Margaret Y. Hsu Foundation, founded in memory of James Geiss in support of Ming research. The James P. Geiss Foundation is a 501(c)-(3) private operating foundation that was established in 2001 in honor of Jim Geiss (1950–2000), a lifelong Ming scholar. Geiss Foundation sponsors research on China’s Ming dynasty by funding: (1) conferences and workshops; (2) Geiss Foundation Publication Subvention Award; and (3) original research projects.
